After a long journey from Milan, I've finally landed in Kuala Lumpur Malaysia where I've been resting for few days before to move towards Melaka.
Malacca City (also spelled Melaka) is the capital of the coastal state of Malacca, in southwestern Malaysia. At its center, Jonker Street, Chinatown’s main thoroughfare, is known for antique shops and its night market.
For this time I've chosen to stay at The Settlement Hotel with my partner, the first day we have been picked up by a private shuttle bus provided by the hotel which we used then every time we wanted to visit a new place complimentary offered throughout the stay.
After a fast check in, we have been offered an amazing afternoon tea with some fresh sandwiches and delicious cupcakes (Must Try!).
It was then time to settle down in our one bedroom suite which I'm going to show you below with few pictures:
I must admit it was one of the coziest and most homely hotel rooms I have ever stayed at. I was treated to an extremely comfortable king-size bed, living room with tea and coffee making facilities (which is SO handy in Melaka), a lovely bathroom with both bath and a shower with and also loads of room! I could find everything in the room, that I needed.
The meals at the hotel restaurant have also been very good. There was an À la carte option for breakfast with both American and local dishes available and really good authentic Malaysian, Chinese and Portuguese dish options for lunch and dinner. Fresh fruit, coffee and tea and mango juice were always available.
If you decide to relax at the hotel after a long afternoon in a bustling Melaka town, you will be in for a treat. The dipping pool area has got sun-loungers and small coffee tables with umbrellas, where you can have tea and recover from heat. There is also a Spa with a vast menu of treatments (I oped in for a full body aromatherapy massage and I am sure you will also struggle to resist).
