Grand Palace - Sanur, Bali, Indonesia

I would like to share my experience of the last few days spent in Sanur, which is an ambient town on the east coast of Bali, relatively close to Ngurah Rai airport. While coming southbound from the busy Seminyak area, I was really looking forward to spend a few days at a more exclusive location, which offered a beautiful beach and a comfort of a reputable hotel, which I had had booked, Grand Palace Bali.

Due to my previous familiarity with Grand Palace Hotel in Riga, Latvia, I was confident that would be in for a treat during my stay in Sanur. Little did I know that the Balinese Grand Palace Hotel would exceed all of my expectations? From the moment to arrival to the hotel, (which was in a magnificent brand new white building with decorations and structures resembling a Roman palace), I was treated like a royalty. The friendliness and a polite professional attitude of each member of staff made me feel like I was at a high-end London or Paris hotel.

I was given a modern spacious room with a balcony, which had views of the tranquil pool. Even though the hotel was located next to a busy road, from the moment of entering it’s premises I could sense a complete feeling of piece and there was no noise from outside whatsoever. The swimming pool and all common areas of the hotel had a relaxing quiet atmosphere, so perfect to give you that vacation feeling. I loved the fact that there was a variety of books available for guests in the pool area, in all major languages.

The famous beach of Sanur was merely a 15-minute walk away and there were plenty of quality dining options in the area. I tasted a plethora of local specialties and international dishes and sipped on some of the best coffee and fresh juices in Bali during my stay in Sanur.
