It was my first time visiting Ubud, which was so well known as one of the most important destinations on Bali island, and I wanted to make the most out of this few days’ experience. Ubud is a little distant from the seaside resort towns and from the airport, but it was well worth the motorbike ride up the roads of Bali.
I decided to stay at the Best Western Premier Agung Resort, which promised the comfort of the modern rooms and the convenience of being located within walking distance from central part of Ubud. Once I stepped into the lobby, I immediately felt as if I was familiar with the property. Best Western is one of the most trustworthy hotel names, and I believe that this feeling was related to the comfort that the brand always offered to me.
I was given a beautiful room with the balcony facing the greenery of Ubud and the rural area – so peaceful, just what I wished for! My room was also comfortably spacious and had everything I needed: a large bed, a working desk, a lounge area, and a glorious modern bathroom. Fresh fruit, tea and coffee were also available at all times, to help me keep going with my work.
What I loved the most about the room was actually the bathroom. It was spacious and extremely modern and stocked up with quality toiletries. The shower was of a kind that you never wish to leave. A pair of slippers and comfy robe was also provided.
The hotel was set up in beautiful tropical surroundings and had a magnificent views of the surrounding nature. There was a spacious infinity pool, which was a real oasis after visiting crowded shopping streets of Ubud. Sun-loungers were always available, and chilled drinks were offered at all times.
Next to the pool there was also a fully-equipped fitness center. During most of my gym visits it was fairly quiet, I think most guests were focused on other activities, like napping. The gym had all of the equipment I needed and more!
I greatly enjoyed the convenience of having a restaurant on-site, where I could enjoy the dinner without being rushed or thinking about how to get back to the resort, after a long day of exploring the area. The restaurant catered for all choices ant tastes: there were both Asian and Western dishes and a rich selection of drinks.
I personally believe that Best Western Premier Agung Resort is a combination of the brand trust quality, beautiful tropical environment and a high-end feeling in one of the most important parts of Bali: a perfect place to enjoy Bali and relax.
