The 2019 has started and i've decided to visit my second home, I'm talking about London.
I was so excited for this trip because finally after 8 months abroad, I was able to visit my friends and be back exploring this beautiful city. For this time I've chosen a newly refurbished hotel to stay for a couple of nights, Royal Lancaster Hotel, the name could remind you a famous movie from 1969 called The Italian Job.
The hotel is owned by Thai family and has a perfect location in Central London, just above the Lancaster Gate underground station. Therefore it's really easy to get around central London with the tube or simply by walk.
As I've said the hotel has been renewed in design and all amenities refurbished. As soon as you are in front of the entrance you can appreciate the classy and fresh look given to this hotel. The main lobby is well organized with a beautiful sitting area, a 4 desks reception and behind this one a beautiful bar where you could enjoy a drink if you are waiting for your room to be ready or simply pop in the hotel for an afternoon tea.
Once checked in, I walked in my room at the 15th floor and the view was the first thing that probably caught my eyes. In fact I could see all london from my window, from The Shard to Hyde Park. The room was really spacious for 2 people with a comfy king size bed, a beautiful living room just next to it with 50'' TV, sofa and working desk, last not least the bathroom was bright, entirely made by marble and the beauty products made by The White House Company, which is one of my favorite.
After I've settled down, i've decided to take a walk around the hotel and just in front of it, there is the most famous park in UK, Hyde Park where you can enjoy a bit of nature and maybe warm yourself with a hot chocolate looking at swans, squirrels and ducks enjoying their lives.
The day after I've woke up with a sunny view from my bedroom and tried the breakfast included with my room rate.
The restaurants are on the first floor and as soon as you walk out from the elevator the ambient is simply stunning. The staff welcomed me and gave me the best table just next to the window, therefore I could start my day with an exquisite cappuccino, reading my newspaper gently offered by the hotel and enjoy the view of Hyde Park.
The breakfast is served a la carte or buffet and both have plenty of selection, from sweet to savoury. The food was delicious, I've tried egg Benedict and smoked salmon. Also available some really good yogurt and fresh honey made by the Lancaster company.
Overall the experience was perfect, I couldn't wish better stay and service, I will definitely come back at Royal Lancaster London and recommend it to anyone who's visiting London for business or pleasure trip.
See you at the next adventure!
