Happy 2020! It has been over 2 months since my last trip abroad and finally It's the time to pack my stuff and start traveling around the world again.
Can you believe that I've never been in Berlin before? It was such a shame for me to say that I've never visited the capital of Germany to anyone, therefore I thought to visit Berlin before leaving Europe for a couple of months with a friend.
Arrived in Berlin, It was quite easy to reach the center and in specific the Grand Hyatt Berlin, thanks to its central location just right next Postdamer Platz one of the most central point of the capital. We got off the metro and the hotel was just right there, the staff at the reception was welcoming us and making sure our room was ready for check in.
The room was spacious and had all amenities you would expect in a 5 stars hotel. The most beautiful part was certainly the huge bathroom which included shower with bath and a beautiful vanity corner equipped with Balmain beauty products, I loved that!
After the first night, it was time for Breakfast. The Vox restaurant at the ground floor was a cliche, the food was delicious with a huge choice of type of food for us in the morning and for the rest of the day.
As I said the hotel had a perfect location and in fact we decided to explore the city by walk, the Brandenburg Gate was only 10 mins walk just crossing the beautiful park in front of the hotel.
After a long day spent outside, it was time for dinner. The Vox has been our choice again. They serve fish, meat and sushi. As you probably know I'm a sushi lover and in fact that was our choice. We tried a mix plate of sushi and sashimi, the food was delicious and the white wine gently recommended was above any expectations. To finish the exquisite dinner we decided to try the passion fruit sorbet which gave us the perfect refresh before sleep.
In our last day, we decided to try the pool and spa/fitness area on the last floor. Grand Hyatt is perfect because it offers everything you need for a short or long stay. The Spa was amazing and included pool, sauna, hydromassage, cold water chamber, steam room and much more. There is also an area fitness if you don't want to loose track of your workout schedule.
Overall the stay was great and I'll definitely recommend Grand Hyatt Berlin for your city escape.
